Last fall, Jay graduated from a PhD program in Civil Engineering Department at UofT, and began a postdoctoral position the Chemical Engineering Department’s BioZone. The postdoctoral position draws on their PhD work studying sulfur oxidizing bacteria in mine wastewaters, applying it to a bioleaching context for sustainable mineral recovery.
