Vitor Leite is a Brazilian microbiologist who completed his PhD in Microbiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2025. His research focuses on bacterial evolutionary genomics, with particular interest in how genome plasticity and ecological context shape diversification in clinically relevant bacteria. He is especially interested in studying microbial evolution from a One Health perspective and plans to continue pursuing an academic career in this field.
